  1. We had a windstorm a few weeks ago out here that took down a number of trees around the town. I was fortunate to lose only a few branches…one tree snapped half way up and is still hanging precariously in the woods nearby.

    1. We had one in 2015 that wreaked havoc on our city. People had major loss to their homes from fallen trees, and a few lost their lives. I was without power for over a week due to a huge pine that fell across the the whole road, and knocked out a transmitter.

They have reported 17,000 people are without power as of now. My husband is works in restoration construction. So essentially is like a first responder to homes that need attention. The winds in Post Falls which is like 15 mins from us are 70 miles per hour.

As well last time this happened grocery stores shut down, store signs were falling on cars, and it was just horrible what the trees can do. So we are bracing ourselves.

I am praying for my husband, and his crews safety today. He may have a long day ahead of him as this started in the night. It is hard to sleep with howling winds.
