Laying my mother-in-law to rest tomorrow

Prepping Bible verses, listening to my husband’s hearts share as we lay his mom to rest tomorrow.

We know her final resting place is in the arms of Jesus. She was a believer, and that brings us so much peace. My husband is at the age where many of his friends are losing their parents. This loss brings him to the loss of both his dad, and mom. It really makes you think, and ponder the years of your life.

The City of Spokane Police Chaplain happens to be a dear friend of mine. He is doing her service. He just texted asking if I was ready with my Bible verses. I am (tearfully) I am.

Psalms 23

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

She was an artist this was their family Christmas card in the 70’s. She was so talented! My husband is the one holding “from L.A.”.

Just for today I am free…

Just for today! One day at a time I am free! For this I am so very fortunate, for there used to a grave with my name etched deep into the stone. So cold

I am free!

By the grace of God just for today I am not irritable, or discontent. I don’t clamor off of chaos. I thrive off of peace, and serenity. I am free! For this I am fortunate death is not knocking at my door. Clamor, and drown in sorrow no more

I live, and reside in the solution. The cobwebs are gone but spider still exists. This is contingent solely on the maintenance of my spiritual house. Today it is clean, I have turned it all over to God. I have the tools to live in the world free! For this I am fortunate I am NOT desperately seeking my next pour, it was such a horror

I don’t have to pick up when things are not all rainbows, butterflies, or unicorns. Which in this last year few are the days of any of those, but I don’t have drink over it today. I choose honesty, willingness, and open mindedness. I choose to know I am not in charge of the show. I also have no control over people, places, or things. That makes me free! For this I am fortunate because it takes me out of self, I live on this side of the dirt

This is what God has done for me, gifted me a fellowship with the solution to live sober. Gifted me a cancer free life. He has for today set me free. For this I am fortunate I have been gifted another breath of life, new sight

With all this said I have a date with a bike, and some miles to travel where the most beautiful of time comes to absorb my Heavenly Father, and His will for my life. All this because I am free. For this I am fortunate because yesterday is gone, and tomorrow I do not yet know. Just now! Wow, amazing this is even my life. All glory to God

Just for today!

Saw a lady about a tattoo this weekend!
Rode the farthest yet! Wet from sweat 😓
My place where I can feel God, just look at it! Free!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Much jubilation in thinking that we are celebrating the birth of our King. Today when we wake it’s not about all the presents under the tree. It’s about the presence of the Lord we have in our hearts. It is about our loved ones He has gifted us to share such celebrations with. It is about the food that will make our bellies full today, the roof over our heads, and the cozy bed we lie in until the time comes to rise up.

Give thanks today, lift your hands in praise for all the gifts of 2020. It may have been for some a very hard pressed year, it as well though can be one to be grateful for. I know I have grown so much in the Lord in this past year. He has given me so much to smile, laugh, and cheer about. God is always faithful to reveal His presence even in the midst of what we may feel like is the biggest storm our life has seen. Jesus is the reason for the season!

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

Met with my maker

A conversation with my Heavenly Father;

Come unto to me child, let me lift that fallen chin so you can feel the sunlight beam, and turn your frown upside down.

I am here

Come unto me child, you are cold with naked skin let me clothe you and give you rest.

 I am here

Come unto me child, you are so weak thinking you can not bare to go on, let me carry you in your weariness. Whisper you a lullaby.

 I am here

Come unto me child, anxiety ridden your heart is heavy laden. I will take it all do not despair.

I am here

Come unto me child, let me wipe the new fallen tears. With each tear let all the fear be soaked up. Look up into my eyes, I your father have you.

I am here

Come unto me child, let me wrap you in my love. As gentle as a dove I will take you under my wing. You still have many years of song left in you. You will sing again, praises.

 I am here

Come unto me child, you have walked many a mile. Your feet are calloused, and so much malice. Let me sweep you up off the gravel you walk. In me take stock, you are my flock. I take great pride in you. No more squabble just sweet surrender, I will give resting peace.

I am here

Come unto me child enter into my Kingdom. Upon your leave you will be holy, unrecognizable. Everyone will ask where you have been. You can I say I was with my father, the makeover you see in me is Him. He has taken residence in my heart. Radiating from my skin.

I am here

Come unto me child, it is a new day with a new start. All the years stolen I have given you back. You need not fret for another moment, I have you. We are one, and the Holy spirit is there as your guide. Hide no more. Walk out your door with your held high, for with me you are taller yet. You have been met with your maker.

I am here

The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Jeremiah 31:3

Me a display of He the potter, and I the clay

Oh Lord when my life became yours I know I illumated the morning sun. Every beam that sprung from it. Rays of hope, grace, mercy, and love all from thee above. Attributes

Oh Lord when I became yours I know that my gait was audacious for you were at my right side. I wanted everyone to see your love in me, spilling from every chasm loves light. Bestow

Oh Lord when I became yours I shed my old skin, and was clothed with honor, dignity, and strength within. Redeem

Oh Lord when I became yours you made me a display, you the potter and I clay. Into the kiln, refiners fire my hearts one desire. To know

Oh Lord when I became yours my smile was from ear to ear, and rapturous was my new found love, bold for all to behold. Take witness

Oh Lord when I became yours it was that of a new birth. My soul longeth after thee, and to emit from within. Forgiveness

For there is no greater love known to man than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13

Now how could a love like this not radiate all across the land, such sweet fragrance in that of my potter’s hands. Mold me, make me, take me. With these hands I lift in praise of you the potter, and I the clay. Adhere

Oh Lord when I became yours it was thee I adore, my heart yours for the taking. Breaking my old from self, so I can now break bread with you. Remembrance

Take me, Mold me
Use me, Fill me
I give my life to the Potter’s hands
Hold me, Guide me
Lead me, Walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand Hillsong Worship
