The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS April 23, 2022-prayer and coffee

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “too/to/two.” Use one, use ’em all, bonus points if you use all three. Extra bonus points if you start your post with one. Enjoy!

Too many times my husband and I wake to quickly quiet ours minds with prayer. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

So my husband, and I sit together in coffee and prayer. This is a beautiful moment we have now had every morning no matter where we are for four plus years.

Just as quickly as the two of us wake to quickly go to God in release of all of all our matters we are changed. There are too many ways to count the miracles that begin our day. Amazing are God’s way. I promise you this if it is just me, I get the same result. There is just something very special in our marriage about having this intimate time with God together.

We are on in Him, Amen 🙏🏻

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 24, 2021—tickle me pink, color me brightly today

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “color/colour.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or pick a color and write about it–use it any way you like. Have fun!

I am so grateful this world is full of color in personalities! We are all different, and that splash of color is what makes the world go round.

Could you imagine no color in people even on a bad day. Those hues of gray, black, navy, they all make us who we are. If we all shared the same red tones, or were green daily how boring human relationships would be.

Today I am the bursting at the seams in pink. I am full of color of love and compassion. Pink is kind and comforting, full of sympathy and compassion, and makes us feel accepted

What ever color you are keep on keeping on. Know tomorrow is a brand new day, and possibly a brand new color awaits. Color your personality who you are. The box of crayons is yours for the taking, it is your choice what color you are on any given day…

Psalm 139:13-14 You alone created my inner being. You knitted me together inside my mother. I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this.

Color me in God’s crayon box always!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 17, 2021

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “least-favorite word.” Use your least-favorite word in your post. If you can’t decide on one, use a word that just really bugs you. Enjoy!

A word I am so burnt out on is Covid. I know many who have had it, and who have lost loved ones from it. It swept in like a tsunami, and changed our world forever.

My mom who works at the largest hospital in our city is the face of the hospital. She offers assistance to all who walk through the front doors. Her job description changed dramatically with Covid. I feared for her safety daily, as people were in her face with the loss of their own sanity. As well my mom who is almost 70, had to go to the E.R. with such high blood pressure from the stress here job now had daily. Covid changed everything.

Covid was long, and tiring in all manners. Every where, and everything revolved around Covid. Commercials, billboards, social media, news, and the like. There was no escaping our new reality of masking up, washing up, and social distancing. Stay home was brainwashed into our minds.

Although I live in faith over fear, I was mindful with just getting past breast cancer. Covid was here, and it was our life. It was real, and not a conspiracy theory. So I didn’t just think I was exempt from getting it.

We only were just opened up as a city at the end of June. So no masks finally! We are finally at 100%, and I can fill our city slowly slipping back into the way it was before the dreaded word ever came into play. We get to play again! Thank God for 2020 was one long year, the whole world had to endure!

Covid is finally not keeping us under the governments thumb. I feel a new sense of freedom.

So yeah Covid is the one word that has drained me, and I would be just fine if I never heard again as long as lived.

SoCS June 26, 2021–up/down

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “up/down.”Use one, use them both, but try to put one in your first sentence. Bonus points if you use the other in your last sentence. Have fun!

Often I will sit down, and get all comfy on my reclining sofa…just to have to get right back up for something my husband can’t find in the kitchen. In a matter of seconds of me finding it, I am once again sitting right back down. Of course wondering when I will have to get back up again…

Then from there we are to Greenbrier to stay the night, and then Wolf Lodge Steakhouse for dinner with our best friends who is also celebrating 55 years of life this next Wednesday. Feeling slightly spoiled, and blessed with the best! Can’t wait, let the birthday celebration commence!

The Friday Reminder for #SoCS & #JusJoJan 2021 Daily Prompt – Jan. 30th-the coffee is on

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “the beginning, the end.” Write about the beginning of something and the end of something. Bonus points if your first sentence contains “the end” and your last sentence contains “the beginning.” <– Read that again. Have fun!

The end of my pot of coffee is here oh dear. I sip it all through out my day to wake me, and warm me. The taste lingers in my mouth, and the aroma permeates through my house. There is nothing better to wake to. A new day is here. A new horizon to peer out into.

Morning excitement as my senses are aroused with the smell of fresh brewed beans. I am keen to the smell. Then comes the early morning sound of the peculating of my pot. What is the end of my pot now was hours ago a new beginning.

The Friday Reminder for #SoCS & #JusJoJan 2021 Daily Prompt – Jan. 16th-first thing

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “first thing.” Start your post with the words, “first thing” and go from there. Bonus points if you end your post with the last thing. Have fun!

First thing in the morning with my coffee in hand I head to the couch where there I begin my day with prayer.

I have to go to God before I enter into my day. It is my morning quiet time with God. It is where my heart, and spirit sync up with God’s will for my day. I usually begin by thanking God for another day. For we are never promised our tomorrow. I always thank Him for another day of sobriety.

My husband, and I as well read together. Then we pray together as well. We lift up family, friends, anyone who has asked us to pray for them. This has been every morning of our marriage. It doesn’t matter if we are on vacation, or we are just hanging around the house. 7 days a week I start my day with prayer, and reading.

“Thy will not mine be done”. That is that last thing I always say. Then I can feel confident in God to begin my day His way.

JusJoJan 9 & #SoCS –-How great my Father’s love for me

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: skys the limit. Write about something that has or seems to have no end. Enjoy!

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

This one thing I know undoubtedly in my heart today. There is no greater love known to man than of my savior Jesus Christ. My life as long as I walk with Him, and my heart is right before Him is limitless. I can have the beautiful life when I say “thy will not mine be done”. It doesn’t mean that my life is easy nor does not have pain, grief, or even sorrow. It means that His love for me is limitless, and with that love I can get through the storms that this life brings. It is not all rainbows, butterflies, and Cotton Candy. Yet it is so divine.

He can help me dance in the rain, turn ashes to beauty, and lift my hands in praise in the mist of my pain.

Limitless unconditional love for me, and He is faithful to complete the work He started in me. I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t imagine not signing up for such a thing in my life today. Heck yeah, I signed up! Please God help me to keep my end of the deal. I love living my life today in peace that surpasses all understanding, and without chaos. A mind of clarity viewed through God’s lens for my heart. The beauty of simplicity.

And this my friend is just the start because His love is indeed limitless beyond all comprehension to that of man. It is hard to understand. He does miracles in, and around my life. He shows up, and He even shows off. His love for me is real! Surreal! Sovereignty, my heart is no longer bankrupt. Poverty no more. Jesus shines!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 19/2020-Jesus Freak

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “magnet.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

It is Jesus inside of me!

Magnetic pull! One thing I desire of myself in my life today is to be a light of the Holy Spirit the resides in me. As DC Talks song lyrics state, “What will people think when they hear that I’m a Jesus freak?
What will people do when they find that it’s true?”

I am a Jesus Freak today, I love the Lord for he heard my cries! I want everyone to know that God saved me from the depths of the lowest of my own depravity! There is hope that resides in the cross.

So my prayer is that my heart, actions, and words are a magnet of Jesus’s love!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 12/2020, so what I am short!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “mini/maxi.” Use “mini” (the smallest of something) or “maxi” (the largest) or both in your post. Have fun!

Far from perfect, but cutely funny 😁

I have always kind of considered myself a mini person. I am not super short, but I am short enough that it makes shopping hard. My legs just aren’t that long. I take short ankle length in all sizes regarding jeans or pants.

I have been this height since the 5th grade. I am a whopping 5’ 1” & 7/8ths. I can shop in the kids section in some stores. Which benefits all because it is less expensive.

So the question remains would I rather be mini or maxi? Mini all the way. “Short people. We maintain a great perspective on life because we’re always looking up.”

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 5/2020- God take my will, and my life according to your plan

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “list.” Make or talk about a list. Enjoy!

I have one thing on my list of things to do today. It is simply to step back giving this “one day” over to God and saying “thy will be done, not mine”. When I do this, I get out of the way. It is miraculous how God shows up. He just simply allows the day to go exactly according to His will. I reap the benefits of peace no matter if it something simply marvelous that comes to me, or possibly very painful. He is present in all circumstances, and I am never alone!

My list is to be who God calls me to be today! Maybe today you sit with a grieved, heavy heart. Maybe you are filled with fear, and uncertainty. This world is a little upside down, and backwards. It is not without a purpose though. There is hope in the midst of every storm.

We can dance in the rain, smile in the pain, and raise our hands in praise for He has all authority. He is sovereign. I will today trust God knows better than I do what is best for me. In Jesus name my list is given to my Father, best friend, and He walks on water. He does circles in miracles around my life.

Don’t give up before the miracle happens. I almost did, then I saw a glimmer of light. Now today 7 plus years later I get to delight in giving Jesus Christ my life.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

“Don’t give up before the miracle happens”
