Praying for my city

We had gale force winds that topped out at 60 miles per hour last night. A window in the building we live in went flying off, and crashed to the ground breaking glass all over. There are down trees, and power lines all throughout our city.

We had power when we woke. My husband and I were praying this morning, and in the midst of that prayer our power went out. So I will be kind of quiet on here today to conserve my battery on my phone. Praying for my husband, as he works restoration construction. They have crews all lined up to go out, and tackle the mess the winds brought. I will be praying for their safety, and all the other people who are helping restore our city back to normal. God Bless, 💜 Lisa

    1. Our power just came back on. Many down trees, my husband has a pretty long day ahead of him. We get hit every couple years with a windstorm that causes pretty good damage. This was not the worst we have had. Still not good though. 💜

      2. My husband is delivering packages with tarps, chainsaws, and hard helmets to the areas that his company get called out on. More damage than we thought, but nothing compared to some of the windstorms we have had in the past years. I am so happy we have power, it was a fast turn around for us. God is great! 🙏🏻👍💜

      4. Yes I guess my mom said 3 doors down from her house there is giant tree that fell. She is unsure of the damage, if any. Usually it is damage to vehicles or even houses. So I pray it fell just the right way.

    1. It is getting back to normal quickly. We had crews set up for power outages, as well down trees. We survived this one better than we have some in past year. Thank you for your concern, Lisa 💜

    1. We are doing well, it was not as bad as anticipated. We have in the years passed had windstorms that shut our city down for a couple weeks. Tree that fell, and did a number on peoples houses. This did have power outages, and some trees. It was considered mild for us, thankfully. Thank you thinking of us! 😊😅

    1. We faired better than we have in past windstorms fortunately. Ours was only our for a couple hours. There was not as much tree damage as anticipated. So until the next one, because there will be a next one. 💜

  8. GOD willing, Lisa, everything is restored by now including power. Just in case storms like this will happen and as you mentioned, “there will be a next one,” make an emergency survival plan where you list all the risks that you might encounter (including broken glasses, no electricity) and ways to operates safely, including prayer. Have a go bag where you put essentials e.g. powerbank, drinking water, just in case.

    1. Yes thank you, I lived in Orlando Florida for 10 years of my adult life. We had to prep for hurricanes a lot. We did just that, and here we get windstorms, and ice storms. One year it snowed 19” in 24 hours. It snowed a ton that winter. Grocery store roofs collapsed. Our city becomes a mess for weeks. As well we have had firestorms in September. So living, and growing up in the Pacific Northwest you have to be prepared for a little bit of everything with the exception of a hurricane. I appreciate the thoughtfulness. My husband works for a huge restoration construction company here in Spokane. That is their specialty to be prepared in calamity. So we are more than prepped, and ready if one comes our way this year. 👍😊 I pray we don’t have any of those again this year!

      1. GOD willing, Lisa that hazards like that are not that strong. It is good that you have prepared a lot; thanking GOD. We still continue to pray to GOD that He will not allow hazards in your community.
